1953 1 Ton Rod Project
Chris Matz's 1953 1 ton rod project. He has installed a diplomat front end and was planing on using a 8.75 Chrysler rear. He may switch to a police posi 2.50 geared rear end. The rear end will be a ladder bar design with a single transverse leaf. Power will be a small block mopar power, either a 340 or 360 with a 727 transmission. He has channeled the cab 3-1/2 inches. A 8 inch stretch is planned for the cab while the bed will be all home made with a pair of plain jane single axle trailer fenders. Chris also has a stock 1953 1/2 ton he pulled from a field.
