Mike Maryo's firetruck has the original 236.6 L-6 engine with about 8,000 original miles. He has converted the whole truck to a 12V system using a standard GM alternator with a special pully and a ceramic coil resistor. Most of the wiring has been redone and added important features such as turn signals! Paint is next, in the fall of 2002 or spring of 2003. It runs like a champ !
